I'm not sure why there is so much "What's wrong with her at that price" that I see all over the place. If you know what you want and have done your homework than someone asking less than what people perceive as a "good price" should not matter. It's not like buying a car where you have an idea what it's value is and when people ask too little there must be a reason.

I tip my hat to any owner who wants to see his mare go to a good home, regardless of whether they made money or not.

smart gossip was deliverd this a.m. without incident and i can tell you we are super excited on this end! i even borrowed a copy of the bloodhorse stallion book to begin searching for her perfect first date. she's a sweet mare, the rest goes without saying, and i'm looking forward to loads of fun with her. jessi, thanks for all your help, you were great!

Yeay!! All's well that ends well. Can't wait to hear who her date for the prom will be this coming spring.

Of course Birdstone would be my first choice, but will no doubt be higher in 2010 than his 2009 fee of $10k.
