Updated Guaranteed Gold offspring pics ...

Postby TrueColours » Thu Aug 20, 2009 8:11 am

A friend of mine in CA bought this lovely GG TB filly and was kind enough to send me these updated pictures of her. Her name is "Tahitian Moon" and she is out of Artic Squaw who is a Puchlingui daughter, so her bloodlines / genetic makeup is very similar to all of my foals out of my Puchi Trap mare - Faux Finish, Remember My Name, Chai Latte, TCF Nightlight, Blonde In A Motel, etc

Here are some beautiful pictures of Tahitian Moon:

and:

Genevieve is thrilled to bits with her and is really looking forward to breeding her in 2010 for a 2011 foal ...

And here is an updated one of Chai Latte from 2009 as well. She would be a 4 year old this year and is Faux Finish's "baby sister"

Image

I just love seeing these updated pictures as the "kids" are growing up!

And here is a recent one of "Admit Nothing" by GG out of Hishi's Jewel:

We are still REALLY trying to figure out exactly what colour she is trying to be!!!

Here is Mocha as well - at a show where he won everything and was Reserve (or Grand???) Champion as well:

And a lovely yearling GG colt out of another Puchilingui bred mare - Prideandprejudice:

These Puchilingui line foals by GG all look SO much alike! It seems like one of those crosses that really seems to mesh very very well ... :)

Great photos! I am thrilled with Moon. She is such a nice, easy mare to have around.
I wish GG was closer. I would love to breed Apachina to him.

Chai Latte is lovely!

And the GG kid pictures are now coming out of the woodwork ... :D

Here is Dudley - a TB yearling colt. Verdict is also out on what the heck colour HE is as well ... With the brown tones to him, I am leaning towards a smoky brown for him???

Image

And yeah Darla - Ive only been ASKING for pictures of Chai for oh ... about 3-4 YEARS now!!!

Hopefully we will all get to see them soon ...

Wouldnt that be a fabulous cross Gen?! :)

I need to get someone on the West Coast to buy GG so we can get more of his TB kids out there and then I can buy the Cleverly Concealed colt from my sister ... ...

You should see him in real life Madelyn ... the stripe is VERY pronounced and about an inch wide. I kept telling his owner that it would fade as he got older and here he is as a yearling and its even wider AND more noticeable!

But of course we all know that duns dont exist in the TB breed ... ... nor roans either ... ...

You know, it's interesting about color and TB's. Nearly forty years ago, I kept my great big lug-headed half TB/half draft mare at a very generic, inexpensive boarding stable (no fancy trainers, no fancy horses, just hay, oats and water, one big turnout field, a cross country course and a big outdoor riding ring). Well the owner of the stable routinely picked up one or two horses at a local auction to offer as riding horses. One such horse was a 16.1h racy built I SWEAR TO GOD PURE TB palomino gelding. The stable owner, an old Brit, swore he must be only 7/8 TB because there were no palomino TB's. Perhaps his breeder thought it must have been a fence jumper breeding and didn't register him. Whatever. The point is that the TB probably has all the crayons that the other breeds have. Just because a "color" hasn't popped out before, with an advocate and DNA testing to argue for it, doesn't mean it can't exist, in my book.

As a funny side note, my "warmblood" was, in those days, a grade horse and worth about $75 until we discovered that she could jump 6' from a stock standstill.
