I was contacted by an old owner looking for help in rehoming a horse he has. He said she has a fracture of some sort in her hind leg, he is going to get back to me with more specific information in regards to her injury. He knows very little about horses so he couldn't tell me much except she was by Not For Love. He thought she was out of a Dynaformer mare but wasn't sure. Her name is Notafling. I want to know what her family looks like so I know if it makes sense to market her as a giveaway for a broodmare or not. I don't believe in breeding just because you can't do anything else with them but if she looks ok on paper I wouldn't have a problem with that.

Ok looks like he was wrong about the Dynaformer part. I would still like to know what the progeny looks like though.

The dam has a 2yo by Powerscourt and a yearling by Domestic Dispute. There is an '06 that earned $39K. There is nothing under the second dam either. I think this is one of those cases where the horses here just Do Not Run to their pedigrees.

Ok that makes the decison a little easier. I am glad I didn't pay the 25k stud fee to create her! Now off to attempt to find her a non breeding home, this should be fun!

She does have a half-sister by Dynaformer which is probably what the owner was thinking of. I included that half-sisters produce record as well.

This Not For Love herself sold for the 2nd lowest price of a Not For Love that year ($5,500).
