Friesan Fire, no less than the favorite entering the first leg of the weak 2009 Triple Crown has his ass handed to him at Fairgrounds on Thursday.

40-cents on the dollar and could only top the two longest shots on the board in a dismal effort.

Oh, come on. Friesian Fire's performance is off a long layoff and surgery. It's not conclusive, really.

Watched the race live today. Just couldn't accelerate in the lane. I'll give him a race or two..

2-5 was crazy IMO. The winner is a nice horse and was the correct bet..

Uuuhhgg...yes yes Jimble Rachel Alexandra is a cheap claimer and Zenyatta is Pegasus.......boy I'll be glad when this is over.

Another Rachel loss (every time an opponent of Rachel's doesn't do well, it's going to be spun into a Rachel loss). Maybe we need another Parade in Zenyatta's honor.

Talking about resumes and the killers Zenyatta beat, I guess she lost a few herself recently:
Gambler's Justice, who hasn't won a race this year, was good enough to almost score in allowance company yesterday (finished 2nd).
Allicansayis Wow finished 5th in the Grade 2 Oak Tree Mile S.
Whatsthescript, who hasn't managed a win this year, finished 8th.
Made for Magic did manage a second on turf in an allowance race in November.
