Postby Rahy85 » Fri Dec 04, 2009 9:21 pm

Does anyone know if FT publishes the results from tonight's Thoroughbred Charities stallion season auction?

They are never published in the Thoroughbred Times or the Bloodhorse. I don't think the stud farms would want you to know what the seasons go for as they often go for a fraction of the listed fee. I got off the phone with Lane's End today, though, as I was checking on my application to Candy Ride and they said the Candy Ride season went for $42,000! Now that's a hot stallion!

I was so happy to win the Candy Ride season. My donkey can't wait for her date with Candy Ride. I can't wait to see my Candy Ride Hinny in 2011.

Yeah, I'm just pulling your leg. But wouldn't that be a surprise to pull a van up to Lane's End and unload that for a date with Candy Ride?

Whenever I say that out loud I laugh.

Can you get a multi-hinny discount when you book more then 1 to a L.End stallion?? What is the commercial value, or ROI, on the A.P. Hinny or Hurlin??

Hurlin--now that is funny!

Really just trying to keep my humor during a string of dark dreary winter days. The bottom line is that some people have more money than sense, but in this economy stud farms might have more cents than dollars...you never know what they might agree too  .

I purchased seasons to Pleasant Tap and Exchange Rate out of the TC auction... Don't want to burn a bridge with either farm by mentioning price as I have enjoyed working with both Lane's End and Three Chimneys over the years. Quality people at both farms.
