Just for fun, following the announcement of breeding plans, I ran the PDQ on this mating.

What struck me as ridiculous was that it gets a GSV rating of 54.34!!

And the Dalakhani/Zarkava foal has a GSV of 57+!!

I'm probably misinformed but aren't the majority of the GSV numbers based on North American heavy horses and ancestors?

It would explain why those two horses, with a lot of foreign elements to their pedigree, not register as high of a number as one would guess?

If they are, and I have no idea, then what the hell use are they to breeders? Most U.S. horses are bred from European ancestors.
