Shadow was such a superstar!

Postby Pennylane » Thu May 20, 2010 6:56 pm

This week we bred our stallion Sir Knight Shadow for the first time since he came to live with us last fall.

Needless to say he was such a good boy. He was so patient and gentle and cautious with the mare we bred him with on Monday. He bred her again on Wednesday and today we presented him with another one.

This one was going to be a bit tougher I thought as she is a maiden and figured I may see a different side to him, but no!

Here she is - Cinderella's Song

It was just like slow motion as he mounted her and I could not have asked for a better behaved stallion. I was expecting the worse as the people who had him before did not handle him at all so he only knew pasture breeding. We will only do hand breeding here so entireley different ball game to him.

I was so proud of him and just love this stallion to bits!

Now the waiting game begins I guess!

Both are very nice, Penny Lane, good luck with them.
What is the breeding on your pretty mare?

Thanks Bellissima!

This is the pedigree for the mare in the picture posted on this thread.

And she was indeed confirmed "in foal" to him yesterday!
