The Science of Bloodstock Breeding by B. Vijay

I was surfing Abebooks and saw a copy of this book for $1. It's ex-library, but it's out of print. I forget what my copy cost, but it was about $50. Some of the copies are going for $75 and more.

Just thought someone would be interested. Act fast.

Parlo: Act fast and you can get back at them for poor service. You'll be about $79 US to good if the book is still available. I've always found Abebooks to very good about refunds when books are not delivered.

Thank you for advice!

You see, this happened 6 years ago. They said delivery to oversea destinations will take up to 6 weeks. After that time they said something like: "our time of guarantee is surpassed, we have delivered, it's up to your customs regulations, not our fault."

I'm sorry you didn't get your book. Roguelet is probably right. Some American school library got it. It went unread and the school sold it to a re-seller. The re-seller probably didn't get an estimate of the value.

Sometime back, I did put a link to one of the more important chapters from the book on Louis' thread. The book uses INDIA's Racing as its sample. It was a bit of stretch for me to stay interested, but I've referenced it on a number of occasions. I'll try to find that link again and post it for you.

In case you are interested in using other American used book sellers safely, your option is to immigrant to the U. S. so that your credit card covers failed deliveries. Things are little up in the air with our immigration & visa policies right now, but it is still an option. If you can't get a visa, I suggest you illegally enter through Canada as our southern border is very dangerous at the moment. Best wishes.

Thanks for advice!

Meanwhile I got my Ph.D. without referring and quoting that book in my thesis. :D

And I must confess: Europe is so beautiful, there is no need for me to visit the US.
