I just found a 2000 mare with the 1917 John P. Grier in the 5th. That is about twenty years per generation.

Note that BEAUTEOUS MAXIMUS' fourth dam is the same dam that gave the world the great, SPECTACULAR BID (1976)

Quite rare to find the lineage of the good runner MUNDEN POINT.

Heck, I remember Jumping Hill as a race horse. He ran in Slew's last race. :)

Do you remember multiple world record holder sprinter ZIP POCKET (bay H 1964)? Well, here is a descendant from him:

Tail male descendant of Swoon's Son, inbred 4X4 to The Doge and with the nice producer Colosseum on the dam side:

Look at that 5th generation--there are only 4 imported horses listed there.

Here is another one:

FLASHY GREEN (dark bay or br colt 2007) http://www.pedigreequery.com/flashy+green

Note that Flashy Green’s fourth broodmare sire is non other than the very durable gray competitor Hy Frost (1965) http://www.pedigreequery.com/hy+frost

Hy Frost’s sire was also another durable gray horse named, Frosty Mr (1953) http://www.pedigreequery.com/frosty+mr

(p.s. Another great gray horse from the 1950s, when talented gray horses were a rarity)

JARDIM (BRZ)(gray colt 2006) http://www.pedigreequery.com/jardim

Interesting collection of names like Badruddin (1931), Gallant Fox (1927), Executioner (1968) and the great sire Sideral.

I don't know if this one has already been posted, but the brilliant filly Attraction, who won the 2004 Irish 1000 Guineas and Sun Chariot stakes, both G1s, has the obscure stallions Young Turnabout, Kandytuft and Zollas in the first 3 generations of her pedigree on the dam's side.
