Blind Luck Wins Alabama

Postby TJ » Sun Aug 22, 2010 4:58 am

Blind Luck overcame slow early fractions coming from last to win the Alabama and most likely the 3YO filly divisional title. TJ

She is quite a nice filly. I wonder why she has no siblings? Is Lucky One still around? The mare would be merely eight years old.

In looking at Pollard's Vision, his first crop has done well despite less than stellar broodmare sires. In Blind Luck's case, Best of Luck is now somewhere in North Africa, I believe.

Hi Madelyn,
It's noted in her ped. profile that she had a colt in 2008, sire unknown? Strange, I hope Lucky One is still around.
Best of Luck is by Broad Brush...that's not a bad line....he was a stout good looking horse. Blind Luck looks more like Pollards Vision and Carson City body wise. TJ

Lucky One has a 2010 filly by Successful Appeal and a 2008 colt by Orientate.

great name. To go across country and win as prestigious a race as the Alabama is big. Reminds me a little of Colonel John taking the Travers a few years back. Good horses translate form no matter the surface.

I wonder why I came up blank looking for her offspring - well no matter, the '08 by Orientate is still unnamed, which is not a good sign..

Best Of Luck was an outstanding looking horse, he might not have thrown much, but if is mares pass on the physical type he should be an ok broodmare sire
