baby
Thanks so much, she was such a sweetie, unfortunately a fighter too. She displaced her large colon, for whatever reason, and fought hard for 2 days, but there was no way she could have handled surgery recovery, mentally, a little TOO much of a fighter, and we had to put her down this afternoon.
She had come such a long way, turned into our favorite, the hospital went above and beyond for her, but it just did not work out in the end. Just now getting the results from necropsy, but it looks even worse than we thought, so even though its tough, Im glad we did not let her suffer anymore. 40 plus years of horses, this is my first loss like this
And even though some may think it sounds a little callous, it is harder because she wasnt one of our backyard ornaments. She was going to the sale in 3 weeks, the Purges are starting to pick up a little, she just had a blacktype update, she looked alot better than these 3 and 5 month old photos show, and then this. Our Alphabet Soup is a sweetie, but doesnt take much work to get a nice response out of her, this filly took ALOT of work, and sweat, and breathe in, breathe out
to get her to work for you, but then she was your buddy, so much effort spent into making a friend, and nothing I could do for her in the end, is really , really hard, I will miss her
baby
And Irene, I appreciate your condolence, I believe we may have "words" about pit bulls or something on here
but thats okay! its hard to communicate successfully, sometimes, without facial expressions, and vocal tones, I think if it was talking in person over a cold one, some of these spats on-line would not ever occur
but your sympathy is much appreciated, this is a really shitty day
