This research paper made me think of ZENYATTA.

That is interesting but is a totally different type of pawing than what Zenyatta does during her pre-race. The type in the article is a stable vice. That does bring up a good question however. Does Zenyatta paw in the stall? I am guessing no otherwise we would have heard of it by now but maybe she does.

She does paw in her stall. I don't remember where I read it, but in one of the articles in one of the trades, right after her last race, it was talking about Zenyatta's fans and admirer's, and how Zenyatta was pawing furiously in her stall impatiently waiting to get out for her morning walk.

Guess I could put up with pawing with a horse like her! She has paid for more than a few stall mats.
