I can only dream that we are blessed with another horse nearly so awesome in my lifetime.

What a great story Barbara, thanks for sharing it and letting us have a final look at a true legend. Looking at his lovely straight hind leg and deep gaskin it's not hard to see why he ran so fast. Finally I have the blueprint that I have searched for all these years.

I finally saw Secretariat last night, and now I read your story. I'm going to have to get a new box of kleenex. I mean that in a good way though.

Reading about Man O' War is what got me into this industry in the first place. Secretariat winning the TC sealed the deal. I was 17 when that happened. But to me the one and only Big Red is Man O' War, he was the original.

The first story about the Blood Horse magazine....well about 10 years ago I was sitting in a Dr's office and that magazine was on one of the tables.....I love Man o War and even have a custom photo of him on my wall.....anyway I asked if I could have the magazine and still have it to this day....put away so it does not get ruined. He is listed number one on the list of 100 greatest horses of the 20th century.
