Jorge--truly weird gray

Postby vineyridge » Thu Nov 11, 2010 8:16 pm

Her name is Teamgeist (ARG) and there is a photo on the 5 Cross Blog at The Blood Horse in the post called Broodmarathon about Argentine mares who were being sold at the Fasig Tipton November 7th sale.

I think Viney must be referring to the shadows cast by the tree next to the horse. ;)

TEAMGEIST: http://www.pedigreequery.com/teamgeist

Alas, TEAMGEIST's picture was taken under such a poor shadowy scenario. Up to this moment I am just seeing a normal gray posing under
branches. Great to see that she is coming from the good sprinter GOOD TIME, a son of the beautiful imported-in-uterus JERRY HONOR. His phenotype looked all white with a distinctive light gray mane and tail.

I bet she means the large dark ticking (flea bitten) part across her bcak and side, and neck area. Some of the bigger ones might be scara from nips that grew in darker, or scars from a skin condition like rain rot prior to her new coat coming in. Cute mare!

Those are definitely shadows from leaves, not a skin condition.

Not the big ones, the little speckled ones.

She's going flea bitten, which many grays do as they age.
