Though everyone whined that he got 'every top mare' while at stud, were he available I'd actually like to see Zenyatta go to Storm Cat.

With AP Indy, they're liable to end up with a foal who has to run around the track twice before it works up any run. Storm Cat would have presumably injected a little speed back in there and hopefully produced something slightly more precocious. He obviously worked well with Mr P line mares and worked equally well with turf or dirt bred pedigrees.

I get your point, but given a choice between the two I'd far rather send her to Giant's Causeway than Storm Cat. The son has all the speed daddy could give him, but in terms of physical type and in terms of racing aptitude he's thrown more to his dam line than his sire's. His strike rate with Prospector-line mares is phenomenal, and on the few occasions he saw a similar bloodline to Street Cry, he got a champion.

Tapit (2001), yes Tapit. This sire is doing nothing wrong as a sire.
He’s been simply amazing. And Zenyatta, well, she did nothing wrong as a racehorse.
And Tapit is carrying the very same en-vogue lineages already discussed
and recommended here.

My first thought... Tiznow!
I still remember that Frankie Dettori called him "dinosaur" once... Him and Zenyatta, well... I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to meet that animal aged five or later

But seriously... Speaking of really proven and top sires only, for me it's Giant's Causeway. Great racehorse, great conformation, great sire. I really like that combination of ND - Secretariat - Blushing Groom in his third generation, combined with Street Cry's whole pedigree and influence of Princequillo, Forli and Tom Fool...
It makes good sense to me. All great blood and nothing too much - well, let's hope there will be stronger influences than Roberto  And also worth noting, still great options for further generations.

That'd be my choice.

Galileo, but it will probably be AP Indy, and I am happy with that.

Who would you breed Zenyatta to?

Hi and Happy Festive Season to all.

I would be inclined to put Zenyatta to DUBAWI.

There are some nice duplications, and he is proving himself as a sire.

He was a Group winner of the ill fated DUBAI MILLENIUM, from a female family that is still producing quality stock.

Just MHO as Dubawi stock are really going well Down Under.
