1. Brethern - the only horse that I have seen run so far, that I think will relish 10F at a grade 1 level.

2. Uncle Mo - As brilliant as he is, his pedigree, he's just going to have to beat me. He very well may. I love the horse actually. I don't think he has enough foundation under him to win the derby off just 2 preps. I don't think he will relish 10F at all either.

3. Soldat - ONe of the few horses that I think will run on.

4. Sway Away - I was VERY high on this horse and was until he disappeared. Horse has been working up something very fierce in the morning at santa anita, firing projectiles, that eased any concerns I have about the layoff.

5. Beamer - again, his trainers track record, just tells me we haven't seen the best of this horse. running style is one that wants to run longer.

6. The Factor - Talented, but that pedigree. plus he hasn't worked at all since his win

7. Elite Alex - This is the buzz horse at oaklawn. So much so he will be thrown into stake company next, off a loss (which he should have won but still). Horse will run far, but still. he's just a maiden winner so far.

8.run flat out - outside of the factor, the most impressive debut of the year. horse can flat out run.

9. Machen - I think he will grind his way into the derby, reminds me alot of frieizen fire. I think he is just too slow to do any real damage

10. Manicero - I think he will have distance limitations, but I think he is one of the better 3yO's in the country.

More interesting this year is the fillies which no one wants to seem to talk about
1. heart shaped - if she is as good as I think she is and her first race indicates, the fillies don't stand a chance this year. she didn't look good she looked special.
2. dancinginherdreams - I'm willing to forgive a bad race. she is still 2 for 3, losing first off a long layoff isn't the worst thing on earth

3. zulu - a different animal on dirt.
4. Turbulent decent - ditto above, just not in a good way
5. royal delta - if she lives up to her first race will be really good. but we haven't seen in a while
6. Hout Bay - Everyone in socal is talking about rumor, and while she was impressive, the hype is the pedigree and the connections. as far as per racing, this one is the better. Go back and watch her replay, she has gears and is going to do some damage this year

7. Rumor - was looking forward to seeing run friday but scratched.=

Hi bdw,
Concerning the fillies, how could you leave Kathmanblu off of the list....she is currently head and shoulder's over her generation.....let's not forget Billy Mott's, Royal Delta....currently getting ready at Payson Park. There is one horse you mentioned, Heart Shaped....who is she? Or did you mean Pletcher's horse...Shared Heart? If so she runs Thursday in an allowance race at GP....you might want to watch that. TJ

lol she actually was on the list somehow 8 through 10 got deleted. i was half sleep by that point. she was number 8.

I'm skeptical of everything that has come out of Churchill at this point. The quality of racing there has slid dramatically. really I should not have dancinginherdreams as high as I do.

Still was wondering about Heart Shaped.....was it meant to be Shared Heart, as I've never heard of Heart Shaped?? TJ

Hi bdw,
In that case watch her run at GP Thursday, this allowance field is above average and should give you a better guage as to your high opinion of her. She bore out badly at the finish of her last race and ran her last 3/8ths in 38.49, not spectacular yet still drew clear by 11?? This field will be a lot tougher Thursday and she gets an additional 1/8th of a mile to run. TJ

http://www1.drf.com/static/entries/20/eSA20.html#8

only to find out he's going up against the factor :( what kinda luck is that.

well he will get the acid test early that's for sure.

Shared Heart was a Vet Scratch...huh.
The winner the stakes placed Mass Media daughter Beso Grande is out of a Kissin Kris mare. Thought it noteworthy because Manicero is out of a Kris S mare.

I don't know why Salty Strike took so much money.

while she won, she is no where near the best in the country (katmanblu). Churchill form this year is horribly weak.

Your list seems a bit hazy. Please list the horses from your top ten that have run a mile or more this year in a grades stakes in respectable time.

I don't respond to the requests of haters, sorry lol. I had AAA in my top 10 in the very first post here, heck my top 5. He went off at 14 to 1, and I trusted my handicapping.

with that said, poor elite alex. calivn borel has given the horse two of the worst rides i have ever seen. he thinks he is on Damascus or something lol. he was every bit of 8 wide on the turn going into the stretch and lost by about a length and a half. The horse is better than he is showing. I would like to see him with a different jockey
