To the owner's and my surprise not one owner booked to him.
We aren't sure if folks are waiting to see his foals, but we do know
that for some, it was no extra money to pay for shipping and breeding.
Very strange, had lots of interest in him......... :?

Legacy will be relocated and standing with Centaur Farm very shortly.

His first foal of 2011 is a light chestnut filly with a wide blaze and 2 rear socks. She has a small feminine face like a angel, and a very correct body. Should be a dressage mover based on her parents movement and related 1/2 siblings of ALLTHEGOLDNFTKNOX who sold to Germany and RHF VINTAGE GOLD retained by RHF. Filly to be a competitive ht!!

LEGACY IN GOLD x MADAME BUCHERON (both parents a smidge under 16.3h)

Her name is: MADAME O'HARA (photos at RHF website soon!)

 Hopefully 2 foals will go out today, more sunshine the rest of the week so more and better photos to come for sure. O'HARA is an odd color, more of a red dun than a chesnut at birth. If she stayed this color, it would certainly be unusal. She is quiet sassy already, can't wait to see her movement. We will ask $1500 for her, a steal for a future crimson performer in the ring.

After a long and trying wait this spring with five chestnut foals by Legacy, he finally gave us one of his creme genes!! YEAH! :D

"GOLDEN GLOBE" was born 4-28-2011. He is a tall, strong, good boned, and straight colt, with just a star. We are tickled palomino!

Dam: KALI'S SUNSHINE (16.2h jumper) Now 3 time palomino producer out of 3 foals!

Half sisters are: STOCKS AND BLONDS and RHF YELLOW DIAMOND.

I sure will.........wish I could get his eyes, they are a medium blue, probably going to turn light brown. His sister Diamond had a blue eye that turned a light brown too. He is already a butterball, of coarse mom was 10 days late, so he had more time to "plump up"

Congrats but I am curious... You say you are keeping this colt so you have the Glitter Please bloodlines to carry in your long term program. Why would you have not just kept Legacy himself with Glitter Please a generation closer? Why would you want to start over from the begining again with a foal?

Good question. Without going into much detail, handling a young horse to the breeding shed is very important for a horse that is going to be breeding for a long time as you know. The breeder wants a good safe handle from the get go, and a colt that has manners and listens. This is much harder to obtain from a stallion who starts at age 11 breeding.

There are only 2 Glitter Please standing studs we would consider breeding to. Legacy being one of them, but in all honesty, we would not breed to him again after having one dilute baby from 7 foals so far and probably looking at another 3 chestnuts coming.

All the geneticists can say all creme genes are created equal, but when you take say our Ttwentyfour Kt Gold, and count how many palomino and cremello
horses are in his pedigree, it is proof enough to me that his (5) doses of palominos and having a cremello for a sire, that he is going to offer a true 50/50 chance of a dilute gene. Legacy has one palomino dad behind him and that is it. There is a big diference IMO, I will never change my mind on this.

Golden Globe will never be bred to a solid mare, unless we test him on a mare that has produced a dilute foal from another palomino stallion. If outside mares want to come to him, this will be fine. He is already amazing me, having a very different individal look in the head and having a heavy muscled compact body is just what we wanted to cross our palomino (Milkie) fillies with. Although we had several mares tied up for a year, we are still very greatfull to have Globe.
