I don't think it was Gulfstream as much as it was the "Derby Trail".. The Triple Crown is a wrecking yard for horses.

Or just a weird training program. His works have been spaced out in a way that made it look like all they were trying to do was make the Derby trail, who cares about the horse.

people, race horses develop chips all the time.. I had a gelding that I did not start breezing until his knees close at around 33 months of age and he still developed a chip in his knee, and he was definitely not on the derby trail.

Also, I believe the great Zenyatta had a chip removed from her ankle and continued to race. Dialed in will also probably be back after a nice 6 month lay-off.
