SOLD one of my stallions. Bittersweet...

My homebred stallion, ""CLOUD TEN"" has been SOLD!!! He will be heading to the south/west in the United States

First a HUGE congratulations to his new owners. I could not be more *thrilled* with where he is going. His new owners will make the announcement when they are ready. Stay tuned...

Second this is really a bittersweet sale for me, I know again. It seems like I have been selling quite a few horses recently so it should get easier, right? Wrong! I foaled this boy out and he is really a special stallion in so many ways. I was not 'selling' him. An offer came in from someone who *had* to have him and I simply could not turn them down. He is headed to a fabulous new life with a bright future ahead.

**I do have frozen semen from him in storage and I have two cremello/white colts (his sons) who will carry on his bloodlines here.**

WIN/WIN for everyone, right? Then why do I still feel so sad...

Congrats! But darn the SW is soooo far away. Seems like most of them are headed that way now a days. I really like that guy too!

That is great news as they are moving back down.. :lol: ..y'all have the daddies up there and we are getting the sons...

Can't wait to see where he ends up... My guess is California...and that's about the same distance for me... :cry:

Obviously a wonderful job in raising him and seeing him to a new home and keeping his heritage alive.

He'll do fine. :) And if he goes far enough (south) he'll be giggling at the thought of you slogging through all the snow in January. :lol:

Actually, my horses love the cold and hate the heat. I can't imagine a horse "giggling" about a former owner slogging through snow.

Anyhow, congratulations, BC, on the sale. In this economy one does what one must!

I would agree about how horses feel about cold and snow. They, like little kids and most real dogs (as opposed to those yappy little things that aren't as big as a cat), think nothing is finer than a romp in the white stuff.
