Postby Crystal » Sun Oct 09, 2011 12:57 pm

page said there are 87,000+ members signed up for this board and I can think of maybe 100 people that actually post.. hmm.. interesting.. 86,500+ possible racing fans out there that know about this board but don't really post.. of course there are the porn bots in there too.

I think that Louis is posting under specious names to support his long running "doom and gloom we're running short of equine family jewels" thread. I've noticed these nome de plumes pop up here and there when he needs to divert attention from the real facts.

I wonder why people post and that means I wonder why I post.. must be something missing in our lives if we waste time with this.

I realize from time to time there are valid questions posted and they mostly receive valid answers but I think thats a minority of the posts

wonder what it's all about, and I certainly don't exclude myself

you think Louis and his other names make up a significant number of the posters??

Shammy I think you might be on to something here if you combine louis, all his other names and the Louis bashers god has appointed to protect us from louis you probably do have a significant portion of the 100 or so posters.

What do you think???

How about everyone that is not a LOUIS or a louis basher raise their hand???

I don't bash Louis. Louis is peddling Utter Hogwash. I trash his "theory", not him, even though he is highly irritating, arrogant, and knows far less than he imagines. I know how little I know; Louis is convinced what everyone else knows through RealScience is wrong.

And I do have other interests here besides Louis. Some of the most interesting reading I have done are the links posted in the Louis thread (that Louis never condescends to read, because he has a special gift of knowing the RealTruth).

And Griff, why would anyone fully rational devote even 10 minutes to the subject of horses? We don't need them to live. They're fripperies on the edge of life, but obviously they hold great fascination for some of us.

Don't answer ME directly, because you have called me a vulgar name, and I don't have anything to do with ill-mannered people. Frolic in the gutter by yourself.

every time i see the "the newest member of the forum is" it's usually a different person. people are in fact registering. They just don't post.

though when i first came around it seemed it would be 5-10 people a day, now it's like 5-10 a month.

TEABAGGER???

Postby griff » Mon Oct 10, 2011 3:15 am

Looked up the definition of TEABAGGER again in Urban Dictionary:

[1] one who carries large bags of packaged tea for shipment

[2] definition not appropriate to post here.

[3] one wo has a job or talent that is low in social status

[4] a person who is unaware they have done something foolish, childish or lame

I believe # 4 is very appropriate when referring to members of the tea party. but it appears, for some reason, some will immediately select #2. I wonder why when # 4 is so appropriate.

Griff - are you stuttering?

You know, once in a while I will meet another horseman from around here who will pounce on my name and discuss this board, plus my participation. I ask what their avatar/posting name is and get "oh I just read - I never post" - I wonder why that is?

Man, at first I was like "Oh crap, what did my post cause now?".. but the 3 pages of tea bagging made me laugh.

No joke, I have met a ton of people from this board, moved a lot of horses and have done a ton of business. It obviously is a useful site with a lot of great professional horseman and lots of people log on to learn different things and ask questions.

In the past I definetly have seen the worst in the PQ people come out, but I think the people that are here to cause trouble do so for about 15 minutes, ruffle feathers, then leave. But I do think the PQ could be a little warmer to newbies just feeling it all out.

But the mods are great and doing a good job. People (for the most part) are friendly and it is a great place to network. PQ has been around for a while and I hope it sticks around.

But maybe we can do more to help promote racing and other issues with a mailing list of 87,000 emails.. I know it's a BS number, but that can be widdled down to a real number of active members.

Grif

Did you post 4 pages of the same message on purpose? Or was this some sort of computer glitch?
