Sorry she is in CT. Here is her info
Spot is a 4 yo OTTB filly, sound, cute, unique....very sweet and personable...she loves to be brushed and pampered over....she is a very cute little mover, and is put together well.... she is about 15'3...The owner/trainer has her at CT but makes frequent trips and runs horses at MTR and can haul her this direction if needed...super sweet girl, sound...just slow...clean legs...owner is asking $800

She IS cute and dont think that is a somatic mutation at all - seems to be a REAL spot! :)

Stood up properly and with some weight on and let down, I think she will be a very nice mare for someone ...

Shame Im not looking right now. I'd take her! :)

It's a totally abnormal place for a natural spot though.

So - does that mean by default it HAS to be a somatic mutation then and not a real spot at all???

No, spots can be anywhere. They just usually are not there (or are there coming from a larger white area) but horses will make a liar out of you every time you say never!

I don't believe either of those horse's markings are native to a pattern.
