TB foal, comments on pedigree?

Postby Elles » Wed Nov 02, 2011 3:44 am

I found a foal that is for sale and he is sired by Generosity and out of On the Tweed (but I think I did not write her name right on the allbreedpedigree query).

To me the foal looks nice on paper, any comments?

As for On The Tweed, neither PRESIDIUM and GENERAL ASSEMBLY were highly successful at stud in Europe. PRESIDIUM is the sire of MIGHTY FORUM who was a complete flop standing in NA. Likely the foal won't make much of a racehorse, possibly a chaser. I wouldn't be surprised to find the same for the other.

Thank you Shammy Davis. These are mostly chasers yes.

Cape Blanco is out of a rather unusually bred mare in Laurel Delight. She is by Presidium, a son of General Assembly by Secretariat. Interestingly Presidium is a half brother to the stallions Kris and Diesis. He won five of his twenty starts, including the City Of York Stakes in course record time over seven furlongs. Presidium was actually rated higher than Kris according to Timeform as a 2yo.
