Sovereign Awards - Thoughts

In looking at some of the choices for the Sovereign Awards I feel the Horse of the Year should be hands down "Never Retreat" as well as Turf Female..

I like "Hard Not to Like" trained by Gail Cox for the 2 year old Fillies Division. ( I know her earnings aren't the top of the heap, but I really like the filly as an individual)

and Maritimer would be my choice for 2 year old Male .. he is just a lovely horse :

Thoughts on the Soverign choices??

She certainly has my vote...if only I had one. A fabulous mare from a solid Canadian female family. Inglorious is a great 3 year old and I will change my mind if she does what Never Retreat continues to do, stay a class act.

No doubt Never Retreat wins HOY. She was far more accomplished, and Inglorious is a lovely filly who was very impressive, but Never Retreat's campaign speaks for itself.

I agree, I think Never Retreat is just an exceptional girl

I do believe she is heading to the breeding shed when it opens, I want to say "War Front" is the potential husband.

I am a huge fan of Smart Strike so that makes this filly extra special in my book..

She deserves HOY forsure & Turf Female.. unless someone can think of a more deserving horse for that..? I can't, 5 Grade 1's is a huge accomplishment.
