looking for horse rescue

Have a 21 year old stallion that we cannot keep any longer. He was given to us by a jockey who passed away some time ago. He is by a son of Mr. Prospector, great looking 16 h chestnut stallion with a lot of white markings who started 58 times and thirty times hit the board, but for claimers, I believe, we did not race him.
He is a nice horse, no vices, and easy keeper.
Any info on a horse rescue farm would be greatly appreciated or free to a GOOD home.
Will consider offers, but would really like to find a permanent home for him.
He is in Ohio.

You might also try Old Friends, since they specialize in stallions. They seem to want to take the big-name stallions, but they might be able to find a local place for you, since they are closer:

It's tough to find a place for stallion. It might be a lot easier if he was gelded.

Good luck finding him a home. He sounds like a really nice horse. If I had a breeding operation, i'd take him. He might be a cool cross on running quarter horses.

Thanks so much. He is a nice horse, very handsome and threw some great looking foals, unfortunately, we have not been able to get them to the races, money is tight.

I completely understand! I'd love to see a picture of him. I can't take him, but he sounds neat and those old stallions are regal I think. Plus, i've been in the QH industry my entire life, so Mr Prospector makes my eyebrows raise.
