Her maiden win was about the most impressive performance (visually) of any 2-year-old last year. Can't wait to see how she does!

she looked really really good today. don't know who she beat but she looked really good doing it. think it was more of who she beat but still

Hi bdw,
She would have beat anybody tonight. Including the boys in the Stephen Foster, she ran faster than they did while being gathered up the last 1/8th. TJ

st johns river has run 1 grade 1 clabiur race her entire career she's not a top class filly/mare IMHO. afleeting lady has never won a graded stakes race.

when she can do that to it's tricky or believe you can or my miss arrulia than i will take note. but she was a dominant closer in today's race

Hi bdw,
You say you know horses yet I wonder if you ever verify what you say? Royal Delta whipped the heck out of It's Tricky the two times they met. TJ

I made an error...Royal Delta did get beat once by It's Tricky and another nice horse, Plum Pretty, the first time the three met each other. The following two times it was all Royal Delta spanking them through the lane. Listen to Durkin call this race and his comments concerning the quality of this field she trounced. TJ

i mean don't nitpik... she's a good one. but she's beatable. i am a handicapper this is what i do. i look for angles and plays. i'm a natural skeptic, a tiger can't change his stripes as they say. every year something is unbeatable and every year something gets beat. just a matter of finding what it is.

i feel that after winning the BC distaff in a race where the two mares in her division that were heads and shoulders bettr than here were both absent and then coming back and beating this.. group of grade 3 horses at best, people are giving her ability she doesn't yet posses. she's good. but she's not as good as the stats would indicate IMHO. she can be beat. and i think she eventually will be beat.

I thinks he may very well be the best older mare but the 3YO crop is pretty good, better than last year's crop

Hi bdw
You know all horses get beat....they are flesh and blood, not black and white like in the racing form looking for angles and plays. You call disproving what you said about Royal Delta nit picking? You make statements that are wrong concerning It's Tricky never running against Royal Delta and say it's nit picking...so now you run to Havre de Grace and I guess Blind Luck for not showing up in the BC Distaff. Only you would come up with that logic...give Royal Delta the credit she deserves. Havre de Grace and Blind Luck who both were a year older than her and now out of the game....makes no sense. Why not watch that horses race...Havre de Grace running an unimpressive 4th in the BC Classic and Royal Delta's BC Distaff win just for kicks. TJ

Royal Delta's run in the Alabama last year - when she crushed the opposition - including Its Tricky and Plum Pretty established her class permanently - I love it when a horse lugs in with class! It was a tremendous move that few horses are capable of....

Hi ct,
Her race the other night at CD was pretty impressive too....I doubt her lugging in is a physical thing in her case anyway....seems like she likes to run on the wood and when she see's she can get there, she motors to it:>) She earned a 110 beyer in that race, by comparison Mott's Stephen Foster winner Ron the Greek received a 100 beyer.

I must say that race she just won was the most impressive thing I have seen all year. I am 100-000000x more impressed by that than i was in that walk over in the FDL. .she ran every step of that race and still won. had every reason to lose and did not.
