Hoxie ?

Does anyone know whatever happened to the 1994 colt HOXIE ?

What I DO know:
-- He ran 7th in the 1997 Preakness Stakes.
-- He also produced 3 known foals, one of which was a winner.


What I do not know:
-- Is he still alive?
-- Is he still an active stallion?

I remember Hoxie..I used to gallop him for Billy Mott he was a nice big classy guy..

I do recall while "floating around the sales" about Opening Verse throwing to much bone and heaviness.

Hi BB,
Don't know how far you want to take this, but if you contact the stable gate at Retama Park (210) 651-7000) and leave a message for Eleuterio Martinez Jr. he may be willing to talk with you? It's possible he is stabled at Lonestar or Sam Houston....but he is a trainer in Texas. He was the last to own and train Hoxie and also bred, owned and trained the Hoxie foals.
