Having observed how everything about The Green Monkey tends to generate so much effervescence, here and sort of everywhere, I have to conclude that his breeding legacy, whether via modest broodmares or via top-notch blue hens is assured. I think that sooner or later a good horse from him will appear and 40 years from now his name will still be around us, both in folklore and on pedigrees.

It's a shame the fact that he became a joke based on that (somewhat fudged) price. If TGM hadn't spread eagled and hurt himself, he might've done something.

If you could breed a mare to him purely with the object of getting the most beautiful, well-built foal possible, who'd you send? What mare do you know of that would give you a life size Breyer horse?
