Looking for Ideas

Postby briarhalo » Tue Oct 02, 2012 8:22 am

Does anyone have any ideas how I can find out or contact previous owner of horse I have purchased? Horse was born and raised in Florida and recently found its way to Fort Erie, ON. Love the horse, and he will be staying with me, just curious and hoping for earlier info.

Thanks.

Did he ever race? If he did - type his name into Equibase and look at the charts...that will tell you WHO.

If not...check out the dam? Did she race?

He never did race. Only a 3 year old. I do have the name of the breeder and fellow that owned him until he was sold in March and made his way to Ontario.

Well, some owners might be happy to hear where their horse ended upn some it doesn't matter. Would love to know about past 3 years, prior to ending up here. I've always known histories and people who owned..Curiosity about the horse....he's a long way from home. That's all.

Do you have papers and if so do the papers have any names or addresses of previous owners?

If the horse is a Florida-bred wouldn't it be logical to contact the Florida Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Assn which registered him?

Sheila Budden is in charge of registrations there. 352-629-2160, Ext. 240 or email her: [email protected]

Best wishes and prayers for all you PQ folks in the path of the storm. This could be a real nightmare up and down the coast.
