In my opinion Chief Seattle will be the better of the two...but then again I absolutely love him so I may be a little biased!

hi aurora...hi Camish

Is it unreasonable to describe Chief Seattle's limited accomplishments thus far as disappointing?

Doneraile Court is at least having a reasonable (or better) degree of success (no less than 7% stakes winners from his first crop...5-SW from 73 named foals).

Furthermore...at least (among his first crop of two year-old runners) DC proved that he could get a VERY good one in G2-Norfolk Stakes winner (by a huge margin) Ruler's Court. As a two-year-old Ruler's Court was co-weighted at 126 lbs on the DRF Experimental Free Handicap...impressive in my book.

It's very early in the careers of both young sires...and I suggest that (for now) it's strictly speculation as to which of the two will be the better sire over the long haul...but based on what I've seen so far...it seems that Doneraile Court has been much more convincing in his accomplishments.

For what it's worth...it seemed like there was a stretch when a good number of the CS's sold VERY well. But they seem to have disappeared...hmmm.

Respectfully

I would agree yet again with FOS. Doneraile Court has proven himself (so far) the better stallion. I also think his female line is heads and tails above CS in class.

Thanks, all
It will be interesting to see how Chief Seattle's progeny do in the next couple of years.

I heard somewhere that DC has fertility problems, hence him having such a small amount of foals. I think he is a wonderful sire (but then maybe I am biased). I really like his 3-year-old Get Down. Nice colt.

DC's problem from what I have heard is less about fertility and more about libido. He's a nice looking horse though.
