Speaking of "sound", hard-knockers... this horse has raced 96 times. I worked with him in 2005. A nice big, good looking colt.

Hasn't won in almost 2 years. Was off 15 months (Jan '12 to April '13). He's now running for $4000 at Canterbury. Hasn't done much this year.

Yes, a SW at SA winning over $360k. Almost 100 starts. Unless he loves what he's doing and is sound, retirement seems the right thing

I totally agree, I think if he loves it and he is sound, then sure why not race him. He just hasn't been doing much this year, and he's almost at 100 starts, and he's running so cheap. What's the point? It costs more to keep him in training if he isn't picking up cheques.
