So that's some added blacktype. Can only help her value as a broodmare. Here's hoping she can get a win. She's just a filly who needs some time and energy in the mornings. Amazing, considering she finished last in a claimer last out when we claimed her from Gill.

Thanks for the congrats! And yes Ruffian, these are my only two fillies racing. Its funny, Coquinerie we bought as a yearling. She was small and by an unfashionable stallion but she just had this look about her and she was as smart as a whip. We were joking around that she was trying to sell herself to us by almost posing everytime we went to look at her.
The lady showing her off started laughing saying she was the oddest little foal she had ever been around and that should would sulk and look horrible when others were checking her out and then the moment they left she would prance back into holding area and act like a million bucks. We got her for 6k. A steal now in most people's opinion but always was in my opinion considering she's tail-female to Miss Carmie!
Chitchat Chitchat came along for in a much different way. An acquaintance of my grandparents knew my ownership with Coquinerie and knew I was more interested in the breeding aspect of the business and approached me about claiming an older filly to race a year for him and then to be retired so I could take over ownership and breed. The very first claiming race we looked at has Chitchat Chitchat in it. He said he loved to claim Gill horses that looks to be off form because usually they just needed a different approach and she had back class in her form. I said sure before I even looked at the pedigree in my haste to get back to work during his call. We land her, I kind of freak out and figure I better look at that pedigree and low and behold, another Miss Carmie line filly! Evidently, the stars are aligned for me to cultivate this family (here's hoping at least).
But yes, I have been extremely lucky with both of these fillies and have been in constant contact with John Hamilton of Three Chimneys (amazing guy and someone who's opinion I hold above most other's) since i'll be participating in a syndicate run by him for Three Chimney's, and will be boarding my fillies there upon retirement. Both of which are scheduled to retire next year.
