Smarty Jones well represented in Breeders Cup

Postby Toccet02 » Fri Nov 01, 2013 9:17 am

I looked at all the pedigrees of early entries, and even female families, and it seems that, for such a disappointing sire, he's very well represented with runners in many divisions.
Any comments on this?

Yes he is having a great year. Wasn't it Real Quiet who sprung quite a few good runners a few years into his career? Also a Kentucky derby winner, and also without many high level runners early on but a strong showing a few years later?

Ghostzapper is a great recent example of a cold-early hot-later sire.
