Interesting Thoroughbred article from the 1950s

A friend and member of this site was sharing this article written by a famous sportswriter
and made me remember Thoroughbred racing back in the 1950s.

Hi Jorge,
Nice article...it was nice to read a piece written by Red Smith. They named a race in his honor in 1960...the Red Smith Handicap, which is still being run today. TJ
