Honor Code and Social Inclusion to Wood

Postby TJ » Sun Mar 23, 2014 7:11 am

Honor Code and Social Inclusion will both pass on the Florida Derby and head North to run in the GR I Wood Memorial at Aqueduct on April 5th. Both had good works Saturday (3/22) at GP..... Social Inclusion went 3/8ths in 36 and galloped out a 1/2 in 49.34 (published). Honor Code went a 1/2 in 48.12 and galloped out 5/8ths in 1:01.60. Both trainers were pleased with their horses work. Shug plans to work again at GP March 29th and then ship to his Belmont home base. Social Inclusion plans another GP work and will ship North March 30th. With the undefeated NY bred Samraat, as well as Uncle Sigh and In Trouble pointing to the Wood, the pace will be very lively. TJ

Really looking forward to the Wood. Hopefully Honor Code moves forward off his 2nd to Social Inclusion.
It is going to be interesting seeing Social Inclusion against the 2 NY brawlers, Samraat and Uncle Sigh, and In Trouble (who I also think will improve off his last).

Oh blah... what a weird injury. This just makes my shoulders slump a little. Don't think this year's Derby is shaping up to be what I had hoped. I guess I'm hoping one of the California boys wins it now.

Honor Code off the Derby trail with slight tear in right hind upper suspensory. Will be re-evaluated in 60 days according to McGaughey

Hi Cree,
What a let down, I was worried about him...then it looked like he was going in the right direction recently. Shug announced he will ship to NY and pow, right in the kisser. What a shame to lose Honor Code after losing Top Billing...Guess everyone gets Derby fever. TJ
