My TB mare's JC name is MYBELLE OF THEBALL - her Dam was Michelle Belle and sire RJ's Harri. Can anyone tell me anyhing about this 'family' I'm new to pedigree things...good pedigree, poor etc?[/b]
Also I would like any info other than what I can read on Delmar about her Dam Michelle Belle - still around, how many offspring etc....where she might be. Thanks for your help!

Hi, I'll append below what I have from the '02 APR on your mare's 1st, 2nd & 3rd dams. As you can see 3dam was a stakes winner & the line has produced a couple more. I don't know very much about R J's Harri , other than the fact that he was standing here in Texas for a while at a farm breeding for sport horses & color.

The APR is a listing of all mares, their produce(foals) and racing record of their produce in North America as registered w/ the Jockey Club. Record Display Information
This page gives you the full information on foals for a particular dam.
The Information Following A Foals Name Contains:
- The sex and sire of the foal.
- Total years raced through 2001.
- Number of firsts, seconds or thirds through 2001.
- Earnings through 2001.
- SSI - Standard Starts Index (see Explanation of Standard Starts Index).
- If the foal won as a first-time starter as a two-year-old or as a first-time starter on the turf, it will be designated by an (*) asterisk.
- Dosage - Profile, Index and Center of Distribution of the foal. (Click Here for a full explanation.)
- Most recent public auction price information if sold as a weanling, yearling or two-year-old from 1986 through 2001.
- All two- and three-year-olds include vital pedigree statistics on the sire and dam.
If a dam has a year missing chronologically in her produce record, it indicates she has no registered foal for that year.
If a foal has a stakes record, it is listed directly below its name together with the added money and other pertinent information regarding the stakes race. All foals which are stakes winners will appear on your screen in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS. All foals which are stakes-placed will appear on your screen in Bold Upper and Lower Case Letters.
There will be instances where there are dams or foals with the same names. It is wise to keep the dam or foals sire name handy for identification in order not to confuse horses.
EXPLANATION OF STANDARD STARTS INDEX
The Standard Starts Index is a numerical representation of a runners race record in comparison with all other runners regardless of years raced, number of starts and sex. The higher the number, the better the runner. For comparison purposes, a runner with an SSI of 32.19 is in the top 0.01% of all runners; and a runner with an SSI of 1.00 is in the top 21.0% of all runner. It is also important to know that 50% of all runners have an SSI of 0.36 or better; and 13.5% of all runners earned no money and have an SSI of 0.00.

I totally mis-read what you had written although I can't say I was offended as I don't breed her for racing - I usually breed her to Traks or other warmblood breeds - as jumpers are hugely popular here. I intend to actually event her. I do thank you for the info. So much to the pedigree stuff but it is so interesting. The first foal 'Freja' her sire was a Trakhaner named Kandidat - the foal didn't survive unfournately
