Hello- this is my first time posting here- the site came highly recommended by a friend, and it seems that maybe this is a good place for me to start getting some more info.
I am interested on finding out more about this stallion. Does anyone know anything about him or his progeny? I know that he was a fairly successful race horse, but does not seem to have produced much. If anyone can help me learn more about him, I'd appreciate it!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Hedgerows,
I actually have been looking at Cefis myself. He was a good racehorse 67 starts 6-8-9 $785,314 but as a stallion he has sired very few foals with earnings just over $1mil.
I have never seen him in person so do not know how big he is which could be part of the problem since Caveat's tend to be on the smallish side. (I have a 14'3 Awad filly and had a 3/4 sister to Caveat "canonary" who was 14'2). But being smallish they are very well made, and from my experience stay sound along time.
You can get his entire stallion directory page at www.brisnet.com registration is free and so are stallion directory pages.

Thanks Everyone!
Thanks for the info Gerry and everyone else!
I went to see him the other day, and brought him home last night. He is not huge, but close to 16 hands. He has such presence though, and throws beautiful foals- I bought his yearling son also, and will probably show him on the line in the spring to get him out there to hunter or sporthorse breeders. I will be standing him next year at my farm in Elkton, MD and hope to attract a few race breeders as well as sporthorse. He is a fabulous mover, as is his son, and still floats aroudn the paddock like a three year old- he thinks pretty highly of himself!
Thanks again,
Kristen

Cefis
Congratulations on your boy !
UPDATE
Now that we have him home, I am looking for suggestions for advertising him. I have little experience with marketing to race breeders, but would like to get this guy's name out therein case there is any interest. Where would you suggest I advertise him?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hedge..contact the Mid-Atlantic TB and let them know that you have Cefis at stud. They can put together a really nice article introducing him at your farm.
Susanh- Shoe is a complete sweetheart, can run forever (she never tires)just is short. If she was another 3 inches and 200lbs she would do well at the track...but I have a 14'2 mare that throws 16h colts so maybe if noone buys Shoe I can have some fun with her.
