Ugly Dog

I've got a basset/english setter cross that I thought was the ugliest dog in the world. I was wrong. Mary Syers

Well being that he's as old as he is(14yrs) he wont be jumping up on anything, blind in both eyes(gives them that permanent glow in the dark look) and hairless to boot(nowhere to hide the wrinkles and the warts). It's no wonder that he's just a littttle on the hideous side.

What a sport Susie is to even attempt to adopt him, with his attitude and appearance. Must have been the ugly in him that convinced her to follow through, that "underdog" look.

She sure has some great memories for a lifetime, after Sam passes on. Susie obviously enjoys a challenge.

he has a "great personality". :P

I saw him on another board. He's even beyond the 'he's so ugly he's cute' category!

Awww. I'd adopt him in a heartbeat!

Of course I think EVERY animal is adorable. I am not so charitable when it comes to human babies. I always keep those thoughts to myself, though :)

that is certainly one frightening looking pooch. BUT! someone loves him which is good to see. I really did have to take a second look as I didn't think he was real.
Blame it on age????

Firstly I wasn't going to reply on this, but since I love dogs as well as horses, I just have to... he reminds me of little Jason, a dwarf poodle, who lives with a friend of mine. He has more hair, but looks just like this one, also not be able to see much at the present, he also is over 14 years old, but still enjoys life very much. The most important thing he has given to his offspring is his character, he is such a sweet little one!!! By the way in his young days he was gorgeous and American Champion.
