Irunalone-down at Fairplex Friday

Postby Swaps1955 » Sat Sep 10, 2005 12:17 pm

Anybody know what happened to Irunalone at Fairplex on Friday? The horse collapsed after the finish, was down (but not shown on t.v.) and then got up according to the audio. This morning's L.A. Times said the horse broke down. Trained by Jerry Fanning.

Jerry Fanning is one of the nicest trainers on the backside, I'll find out oon Monday what is the condition of Irunalone.

I went to Jerry Fannings barn and asked the groom what happened to Irunalone.

Bobby the groom told me Irunalone was put down because his injury was to bad.

When I see JF on Tue. I will ask him what type of injury it was.

Thanks, Louis. I am so, so sorry. It always takes a little piece of your heart away. Fortunately, there are others who add a piece, but you never forget the pieces that were taken.

I hope someday the racetracks post the info on their screens what has been the fate of these beautiful TB that have been injured.

The tracks owe this to the fans that attend the races, as the fans are the ones who keep racing alive and well.

I totally agree Louis. If you cant' find out what happened to a horse that you've been following, it makes you not want to be apart of racing. Even if the news is bad for one of your favorites you feel better knowing rather than not.
