early American sires

Postby Deartoall81 » Wed Dec 07, 2005 8:24 pm

Thinking about the early sires imported to America prior to; or nativeborn American sires prominent to 1850, are any still extant in the male line? If not, when did they go extinct?

Probably not in 'tail male' in the TB.
If not, when did they go extinct?

A lot of old American lines went extinct in the TB during the early 20th cent., in part b/c of more stringent requirements here and abroad for registration. Conquering Elk, 1987chc x Peerlless - Helio Lassie x Helio Flight was the last known tail male TB descendant of Lexington.
