My advice is for a substantially outbred stallion.

In KY very good options may be:
Swain - if you hope for a staying product
Candy Ride - for a miler
Castledale - cheap but interesting
Eavesdropper - if you hope for a producer with an intriguing pedigree

Thanks for your reply. Would you be kind enough to post order information and/or links to your product for me and I'm sure others who may also have an interest? I'm way too lazy to search out the info myself.

hpkingjr,

The home site of the product is http://www.g1goldmine.com/ .

If you want to download the free G2/G3W Demo it's here: http://www.g1goldmine.com/download.html

And if after using downloading the G2/G3 Demo you want to purchase the Fully Functioning Product you can do so here (note that you have to download the demo before buying the full product): http://www.g1goldmine.com/buy.php3

Incidentally, even though I don't think the VGS has been put in the product yet, there's no real reason to delay downloading the G1Goldmine product as all who download it (whether in Demo or Fully Functioning Form) will get an e-mail informing them of when the VGS including update is put in and instructions on how to put the update into the system.

The following is a link to the official website of the VGS Score. It still needs a little work on a few of the pages that I'll get to tomorrow, but it's still pretty much completed and ready for public consumption:

Stallions I would consider

Postby Keith » Sun Jan 22, 2006 7:58 pm

With Street Money I would consider

Harlan's Holiday $17,500 which would give you 5x5 on Alanesian through Boldnesian and Princessnesian and a 5x5x6x6 cross on Bold Ruler.

Woodman $20,000 giving you a 3x5 cross on Intriguing through siblings Playmate and Numbered Account and a 4x5x6 cross on Glamour. Woodman is the sire of Hishi Akebono who is out of a Seattle Slew mare and was Champion sprinter and miler in Japan.

Thank you for all the opinions everyone! I really appreciate the discussion. We have booked the mare to Limehouse.

Seeing that you wanted to breed to a first year stallion, I like the choice. good luck with your decision.
For the record, I believe Northern Afleet;Smoke Glacken, More Than Ready and even Mutakddim would have been excellent choices for your mare.
In the first year catogory, I also would have looked at Unforgettable Max--stunning conformation, retired sound, ran great and hails from a very good pedigree with a super sire. I think he is very well priced at $7,500.00
best regards Brendan

bcassidy, thanks for the thoughts. I wasn't looking for a first year stallion, but I didn't feel the need to shy away from one either.

Smoke Glacken was on the short list. It wasn't a good physical match with Northern Afleet. I'm already breeding another mare to More Than Ready. Mutakdimm is 2x3 to Seattle Slew, which is closer than I want to do. Unforgettable Max was just not what I was looking for this time around.

I read that you chose Limehouse after I did some looking; good luck with that pairing. I took at look at some of Private Accounts successful progeny and Ribot crosses did exceptionally well. In KY Alphabet Soup could be a choice and also Pleasantly Perfect although the later is more than you listed.
