Could some of you maybe wax poetic about him as a sire?

By RUNAWAY GROOM (1979). Champion 3-year-old colt in Canada, classic
winner of $347,537, Prince of Wales S.-R, etc. Sire of 19 crops of racing
age, 1011 foals, 832 starters, 66 stakes winners, 636 winners of 2630
races and earning $47,136,233 & $79,830(CAN) in N.A., including champions
Cherokee Run ($1,531,818, Breeders' Cup Sprint [G1], etc.), March
Groom [G3], Alex the Groom, Collect the Groom, and of Lydhurst (hwt. at
6 in Yugoslavia), Wekiva Springs ($1,512,575, Suburban H. [G1], etc.).

Rumor has it there were talks of the Lone Ranger trading in Silver for Runaway because Silver didnt have enough commercial appeal.

Ignore I'm a yutz! I already asked this question. The sea air and constant rain is melting my brain

*waxes poetically*

Cherokee Run and the lot....um....

He's a good sire and very consistent. Has done a good job maintaining a branch of the BR line.
