If a mare is by Compliance and is a 3/4 sister to 2 millionaires
(I am thinking the fourstar brothers)
how can I find her dam if she is not in the database?

He! He! I know which mare you are looking at  The dam's not in the database? I pulled that one up cause I like gray horses, but I didn't look at the dam. Hmmm...must go investigate.

Editted: Dam's name is Bracalena and she is not in the database leading me to believe that they are referring to the Fourstar brothers and maybe the dam is by Bold Arian.

Ding! You are correct. :D

Dam is in the database now. In fact, it looks as though this horse's first three dams were in the database, but had been deleted within the last day or so.

Thank you everyone!

She is a very pretty mare.
And I figured her dam and the Fourstars' were full sisters

Thank you for adding her to the database! :D

I just pulled her up and it's a good thing I didn't bet her dam
& Broadway Joan were full sisters.

ok. I just looked at her extended female family and I can't find the two millionaires in her tree. Because the dams were deleted, does that
mean the extended family went bye-bye as well?

No. There are no millionares in her female line, or anything even close. Whoever wrote that ad was probably unaware that such matters are based on damlines, rather than sirelines. Both the Fourstar boys and the filly in question are by Compliance out of a Bold Arian mare, but it probably would have been better to describe her as 'bred along the same lines as two millionares', or something to that effect, rather than '3/4 sibling'. She's also no more a 'red roan' than I am. ;) Pretty filly, though.

She is Red Roan although thoroughbreds are only described as roan. I stand corrected as too how the term is used from dam and sire lines but just the same she is none the less by Compliance, sire of Fourestardave and Fourstartallstar. Her dam is by Bold Arian as is Broadway Joan, dam of the two previously mentioned. So technically they are 3/4 sibs no matter what way you shake it. Her dam "Bracalena" was the best Race Horse that the sire Bold Arian produced.
