I remember watching that horse breaking his maiden at Sportsman's Park...

He was still listed for $1,000 at Key Ranch in Texas last year. He's not listed on their web site anymore. www.keyranch.com

thanks. I have a gelding by him and was just kind of wondering where he went since he's not on the key ranch site anymore.

Under David's Wing is alive and well at Key Ranch. I have seen him recently, and have a yearling filly by him that is beautiful. I am not an expert on the whole story, but he is no longer being promoted as a stallion. I think perhaps one of the owners passed away??? One of his colts placed third in a race here on Easter Sunday. Best of luck with yours.

Thanks, good to hear. Mine wasn't that great on the track but he's a good hunter.

Nothing wrong with having your horse as a good hunter. It can often mean a longer and happier life for them. The dam of my yearling filly, Remonsterance, was on the track, and then had a second career as a show jumper, before becoming a brood mare. This filly could probably run or be a nice show horse. Time will tell. Under David's Wing is a nice horse, with a fun personality. He loves to play catch with a big ball they give him to play with. Like a big puppy. All of his foals that I have seen are attractive animals, with particularly nice eyes. Enjoy yours, and tell him that his daddy is fine.

as another poster stated he is alive and doing well. There was some change in his ownership, and he got a little caught in the roster changes at Key Ranch. He is still available to breed to, although he has not been advertised this year. He is producing some very useful runners.

That's funny to hear you say that.. I always say that my horse and my dog have the same personality.

See any resemblence to dad?

I always thought he looked a lot like the pics I've seen of Blushing Groom. My horse's breeder is listed as SM Silvino, Inc... dam is High School Band.

Great pictures. You and your horse both look like you are having fun. It is hard to see any confirmation similarities, but your horse has the nicely defined jaw line, and seems to have the large eyes of his sire. Under David's Wing is a dark brown color, so that is different. I am not familiar with the mare. The breeder's of your horse were the previous owners of his sire.

This is the most recent confo shot I have of him. He's 5 this year and finally filling out. He grew almost an entire inch after I got him last fall.

I've only seen one photo of UDW and it was hard to tell any real similarities between the two.

I didn't know anything about this stallion, except that he's in TX and that's why I looked at the thread. Coincidentally, I was looking at www.lopetx.org and there's a gelding by UDW that is a giveaway. If anyone has room and is willing to take a chance, he might be a good risk. He has a lot of the sport horses on his dam's side that I look for. Naskra, Raja Baba and T V Lark. Plz take a look and pass the word around. I just got another project from my race horse trainer, or I'd call about him :(
BTW....LLhunter...your horse is very cute!!!!!!
