See Me Comen'/ Seclusive

Postby Whitehedge Farm » Tue May 02, 2006 12:26 pm

Just trying to find some more info on this stallion!

Grey stallion B. 1975 by Secretariat.
Exported to Belgiam to stand as a Zangersheide Stallion (for jumpers), then on to Ireland.

edited to add See Me Comen to subject line- I do know about his success as a IHF hunter stallion, and now in the paint world, but if anyone has anything to add about him, I would love to hear it too :)

Thanks for bringing up this interesting question. Yes, I remember his sire merits when he was in the US. The only difficulty now is that, most probably, SECLUSIVE (born in 1975) may no longer be available among breeders.

I am hopefully leasing a See Me Come'n/Seclusive (that is also JC registered! )5 yr old mare for breeding this year. She is a very nice type, lots of white and a super jumper- I have always loved See Me Comen as a hunter stallion, and the dam line of this mare is icing on the cake! I also contacted Zangersheide for more info since they stood him, but it might be awhile untill I hear back from them.

See Me is by the same sire as my favorite stallion Absolut' (Lancaster Avenue). I adore See Me as well, and Jim is a super guy. A friend & I are partners on a 2yo gelding by him and he is fancy fancy fancy. Next time I am in VA I will take a few photos. Our guy is named Oh See (or maybe Oh See Me, still working on that LOL!) and is out of Jarupa. He is going to be BIG, and is as sweet as he can be...

Whitehedge - I'd love to see the girl you are leasing... Are you going to breed her to Cabalito? If so, man, I want first dibs on that foal if you sell it!!! :D

APritchard

YES we would breed her to Cabalito!
I will get pics soon-
She is 15.3, short coupled, beautiful shoulder and great hip/butt. Big mover and really loves to jump and seems very athletic with great form.
I bred a TB mare to See me Comen back in 1994 and the resulting foal was one of my favorite horses ever. He was really my pet and an adorable childrens hunter!
He is now living in Hawaii on the beach, lucky guy!! But I miss him.
