2 year old Thoroughbred Colt or Filly with Awsome bloodlines

Postby AfleetAlex#1fan » Mon May 08, 2006 6:11 pm

Looking for 2 yr old Thoroughbred Colt or Filly that has just recently been started to race but hasnt been in any races yet. Please E-mail me pictures to [email protected] . I would prefer if the horses were cheap and are sired by a fairly good stud and a fairly good mare and has a major chance to beat horses at Portland Meadows.I want the best blooded horse I can find.Better then most of the ones at Prtland Meadows.
Hope you all can help me.Please and Thank You.
Thanks,
Jordan

Tell me about your Pie Rise filly instead.

I heard a rumor she is being trained to ride. Have you been on her yet?

AfleetAlex#1 Fan,

All of the 2 year old in training sales are over this year. There are no more two year olds for sale this year. They are all gone. The really good blood horses at cheap prices anyway.

Have you seen the movie Dreamer? was it any good?

2 year old in training

While the 2 yo in training sales are over, there are often 2 yos in training & for sale at breaking centers or breeding farms & the breaking centers/breeding farms generally know which horses are for sale.

Find breaking centers in your area or at least from which you'd be willing to ship, give them the bloodlines you want & your price range. You might find what you're looking for.

FYI - I'm not sure that the 2YO in training sales are "all over" for the year.

Per their website: Fasig Tipton has two more scheduled: a Select Sale for May and another in June at Timonium in Maryland (Entries for the former are closed since Feb and are due no later than the 19th of this month for the latter)

May 22-23
Midlantic Two-Year-Olds In Training, Fasig-Tipton Midlantic, Inc., Timonium, Maryland

Breeze dates May 17 & 18

Entries closed Feb. 15

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jun 27 Midlantic Two-Year-Olds In Training, Fasig-Tipton Midlantic, Inc., Timonium, Maryland

Breeze date Jun 26

Entries close May 19

I believe that such a sale by Barretts is pending in California very shortly, on the May calendar (perhaps taking place as I write this?).

May 16th,
2006-10:30am actually per their website. All Entries are closed.

ALSO, as noted above there may be bargains to be had at sales of in training stock offered thru Training Center sales, private sales.

AND - I'd like to learn more about such sales, which Training Centers typically sponsor such sales - anyone?

AfleetAlex#1 Fan,

I am glad you liked the movie. Would you think the girl in the movie is about your age or is she maybe a little older?

I am not good at judging.

jellac is correct. There are still 3-4 more 2YO sales yet to come this spring.

Jordan, why would anyone want to sell a good, ready-to-race 2YO cheap? They're worth a lot of money, and the only way you--or anyone else--can get one is by having a lot of money to spend.

I can't wait to read this thread further down the line. I do love this board. It makes time fly by when I'm at the office.
