Info on 2 TBs please

Postby olympicprincess » Thu Dec 29, 2005 4:27 pm

Hi. I was wondering if you could help me with 2 TBs I have at my barn.

1) reg. name I was told: Choo Choo Me Home (1997)
sire: French Legionaire.
-Did he ever race? I was told he didn't.
-Any info on his dam?

2) reg. names I was told: The Big McCaw (2000)
-any bloodline info?
-I was told he DID race, but how did he do? (I know poorly...;))

This is purely for curiosity. I don't have any involvement with the racing world...beside buying them when they don't make it! Just curious how they did and who they are related to.

2000 The Big Macaw,B,g,Earthmover 3 15 2 3 4 17,763 ( 7 0.46
North America 2 YO Record 2 0 0 1 1,364 ( 6
North America Dirt Sprints 14 2 3 4 17,645 ( 7
North America Dirt Routes 1 0 0 0 118 ( 60)
North America Muddy/Sloppy 3 0 0 1 1,734 ( 72)
DP = 9-5-5-1-0 DI = 4.71 CD = 1.10 AWD = 6.00

Roughly translated, it means The Big Macaw had a propensity for sprinting on dirt tracks (as his race record also indicates) as indicated by the males in his pedigree.

DP is the dosage. DI is dosage index (4.71 would indicate a sprinter). CD = Combined Dosage. AWD = Average Winning Distance which is 6.00 or 6 furlongs.

Again, this is only based on male ancestors. If The Big Macaw is in the database, click on his pedigree and scroll down below it to see what his Conduit Profile is. The Conduit Profile is based on the FEMALES in his pedigree, which many breeders now believe may have more influence than the male ancestors.

Others could probably give you a more detailed explanation.

The Big Macaw won twice: 2 wins, 3 seconds, 4 thirds, 15 sts.

Dec. 20, 2003 at Beulah Park, Ohio

Sept. 24, 2004 at Beulah Park, Ohio

The other one never raced, and apparently never got close to racing

Came back to look at this horse's pedigree again:
Do the above posted stats mean that he won over $17,000 on the track?
(2000 The Big Macaw,B,g,Earthmover 3 15 2 3 4 17,763 ( 78 ) 0.46)
I see the 15 starts, 2 wins, 3 seconds and 4 thirds.
(no idea what the 3 in front of the 15 is for- at/by age 3?)

The 3 means he those are the totals accumulated over 3 years of racing.

And yes, that is the total purse money he received in those 3 years.
