Mare Wanted-Posting for a friend

Postby Camish » Sun Nov 19, 2006 1:32 pm

I am posting this for a friend...She's looking for a nice broodmare that is preferably in foal. Doesn't matter where located, but nothing over $1,000. If the mare is in foal, would prefer foal date April and later. PM me and I'll pass on the info to my friend. TIA!

I have a 6 y/o mare I would like to sell. "Superlooper Sara", daughter of Montbrook, out of stakes placed mare. She has had 2 foals, both nice, correct, BIG colts. '05 colt by Hold That Tiger, '06 colt by Silver Ghost. She is not in foal for '07. Sara is 16.3h, dark bay, very correct, she throws big babies. Her '06 colt is on site to view. We are located in Ohio. We would take $1000 for her, we have a number of mares and are getting way too busy. Please let me know if you are interested.

In the best of them, pride is limitless. This is their heritage and
they carry it like a banner. What they have, they use."

This mare caught my eye:

I Follow You --You and I x Follow the Music(Rahy). She is listed on CANTER-PENN, $500.

Earned $63K and according to the data base, Follow the Music earned $130K, has produced $100K and $50K earners from the other two listed. She has a recent chip.

Might be worth taking a look.

Thanks Freshman!! I'm a huge fan of You and I! I'm going to try and twist my friends arm...and a granddaughter of Rahy...

Apparently the $50K earner in the database as is actually a 2003 full sister to I Follow You and has actually earned close to $90K by now--the database hasn't been updated since July 2006.

Her name is We Will Dance.

I also found out, just by googling, that Follow the Music sold at Keenland for $23K in 2005. Here's the catalogue page:
