PABRED Stallions

Postby griff » Thu Dec 21, 2006 7:36 am

I'm looking for a PABRED stallion for ACE UP HER SLEEVE and will appreciate suggestions and recommendations.

Ace is linebred Bold Ruler and I'm looking for an out-cross. Stud fee needs to be justfued by sales results and racing records of offspring.

Hi Griff,
Honestly ? Based upon the criteria you've set ( Pa. stallion justified by sales results & offspring race record ) combined with all that Bold Ruler in the mare's pedigree...I don't see any standing in Pennsylvania. Not trying to sound like a wiseguy or anything but really ...I don't. Looking at the top twenty studs in Pa. I'd not care to send my mare, again given all that Bold Ruler, to any for sales purposes. Gun to my head I suppose I'd give lite the fuse a shot or maybe even real quiet or coastal storm for breed to race but other than that.... Maybe I'm missing something & I'm open to being educated. Not too familiar with Pa. regulations but can't you breed to an out of Pa. stud & still get a Pa. bred ?

Hey Griff,
I couldn't leave your mare's pedigree alone given your question. While I still don't have anything that fulfills your criteria I'd like to just float something out there for you to think about.
In 2007 Sort It Out will be standing in Pa. for a mere $ 2500 I think. Sure there's all sorts of risk with him as with any freshman stud but he's a complete outcross from a good family, he could run a little bit, and his 2nd. dam is a full sister to Forty Niner which should work well with all that Bold Ruler. Additionally I don't see too much problem with Coxs Ridge / Relaunch either. Sort it our Won over $300K and took his owners to the Kentucky Derby. I dunno...might be worth a shot at $2500. Just a thought if you need to stay in Pa.

I have 2 seasons to Sort It Out for 2007..if anyone might be interested in co-breeding type of situation. He's a super horse...big and good-looking, and he's Stonerside's first venture into the PA market.

Thanks

She is now booked to Not For Love. Maybe a good nick will move to PA in 2008 and we can make this NFL foal a PABRED

Thanks again
