Many years ago when the Del Mar meeting ended, I would circle my calendar for the 26 of December for the return of TB racing to SA.
I still look forward to opening day, as I like to see which stallions will produce those GR SW.
Most of the leading trainers are stabled at HP, as they are happy with the new cushion surface, they will van their TB to SA to race then shuttle back to HP.
I have heard many postive comments on SA main track, as there is not as many TB using the main track as years past. Time will tell if the main dirt track will stay positive through the meet.
