Would like any information on this stallion, ie conformation ect. Noticed his foals are not selling well. What's the problem with this stallion Or/ his foals?

My yearling filly is apparently typical of his get. She's immature, smallish, lacks muscular definition or bulk, and has an expected turf future. She will not likely be precocious. I withdrew her from Keeneland September when I saw she would be in the final book. I looked last week, and all his foals were offered in the final two books, and only one sold decently. Most were sold for less than stud fee, or were withdrawn, or RNA'ed. I like my filly, who is well-conformed and classy, and she's the leader of the yearling band. (Starlight Bay, in database.)

Very good post Henthorn! Thanks! Explanation makes perfect sense and sounds spot-on.

Since selling off all our stock last January, I have avoided the sales... but I was wondering about his rather dismal numbers. It sounds like he and Mizzen Mast have had similar fates.... however, so did (and to some degree it continues) Alphabet Soup. It will be interesting to see how these more "turf biased" pedigrees blossum or die with Polytrack (it has been proven even the best Turf sire is doomed in the U.S. market).

One thing about it... if one prefers the old-time, more tradition, classic, Thoroughbred "look"... they aren't too expensive at sales... sales love the bling, especially the "quarter" variety.
